‘It’s not often you come across a voice with such controlled power: even at the emotional heights and depths of the songs, Rob’s voice retains a purity and focus that is all too rare.
Heavily influenced by the likes of; Ben Howard, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers and Bruce Springsteen – Rob’s music is filled with real life experiences, performed in his own compelling style, with acoustic guitar accompanied by a variation of foot percussion.

Cider Fest – Samantics
Samantics is a one man machine of honesty, energy, words and noise. Using lyrics to portray his own unique vision of the world we’re all wandering, he speaks and screams from the centre of his erratic heart.
Using a trolley full of sounds, ukulele, bass, beats, piano, harmonies, blips and bloops and and wobbly wobbs, all brought together with loop station and sampler to create a hot pot of powerful, noisy poetry.
It’s not quite hip-hop, but it’s not quite not.

West country based Gaz Brookfield is predominantly a solo musician. Although, on occasion you will find him on stage with his band, The Company of Thieves.
Gaz has an impressive back catalogue of nine studio albums. The latest of which, Morning Walking Club, went straight in at #1 in the Official UK Folk Album Charts, #3 in the Official UK Indie Breaker Charts, #6 in the Official UK Download Charts, #10 in the Official UK Indie Album Charts, and even #37 in the Official UK Album Sales Charts.
Not a bad result for this fiercely independent musician, with no record label, no manager, and no agent – just a guitar, a van, and a steadfastly belligerent refusal to give in.

Are You Worthy?
The Musical by Grant Sharkey.
‘A sing-along, laugh-a-minute rallying cry’ – The Scotsman
MATINEE! In the beautiful garden theatre.
The hilarious new musical ‘Are You Worthy?’ by Grant Sharkey is on tour throughout April, taking a wry look at class, greed and snobbery inside big festivals. If you love music, summer and festivals but are frustrated with £11 pints and £18 bean burgers – this show is for you.
Story: Glory dreams of singing her songs at Classtonworthy – the world’s most prestigious music festival.
The only thing standing in her way is an all-powerful singing Pyramid.
How low will she go to get to the top?
After the show, Grant Sharkey will be playing an evening solo gig in the venue too
Tickets £10 – £15 advance

Following on from the performance of Grant’s musical Are You Worthy? in the afternoon. Grant will be sticking around to perform his usual double bass fuelled, funny, satirical set in the evening!

Mother Vulture
Described as “one of Britain’s most exciting new noises” by Kerrang! and “The new kings of British rock music” by Distorted Sound, Mother Vulture are turning heads with their now infamously energetic live shows and critically acclaimed debut album Mother Knows Best.
Combining off kilter octave-pedaled alt punk fury with the bombastic and eccentric tendencies of stadium filling rock legends creates an outfit that were as at home at Bloodstock as they were at ArcTanGent. Everyone agrees it’s a hard sound to put a finger on, but it’s impossible to look away. Salisbury, GET INVOLVED!

The Handsome Family
The Handsome Family have written some of the most haunting and beautiful songs in American music. During a 30-year career, Brett and Rennie Sparks have created songs that transform the mundane landscape of modern life into a place of mysterious portent.
Handsome Family songs take place in parking lots and big box stores, under overpasses and in airports. They sing about Custer’s last stand and automatic lawn sprinklers in the same song. Rennie’s lyrics often focus on the myriad creatures that live at the edges of the man-made world: the sparrows, rats, cockroaches and crows that share our cities.
