TwoManTing – Matinee Show
It has been way too long, but we are chuffed to bits to welcome the legendary TwoManTing back to the Winni for an intimate afternoon bar performance!
TwoManTing was formed in 2004 when Sierra Leonean drummer Jah-man Aggrey, and guitarist Jon Lewis were playing together as part of dance band, Le Cod Afrique, at venues such as Montreux Jazz Festival and WOMAD.
The duo immediately became a hit on the UK festival circuit with their brand of bouncy “Sunshine Afro-roots”.
Shows have included Glastonbury, Secret Garden Party, Wilderness and Green Man Festivals to name but a few. Using guitar, live loops and percussion the duo creates a highly danceable full band sound and their reputation has earned them recent support slots with the likes of Tinariwen, The Oyster Band, Edward 2 and Dub Colossus. Their music is often featured on BBC Radio 3 and 6Music.
This will be an absolute treat of an afternoon gig, so don’t miss out!

Roll up, roll up, as we bring to you, the worlds first, most amazing, punk rock Taylor Swift cover band – Taylor More Swiftly!!
Taylor More Swiftly is a punk/ska tribute band that plays fast-paced, sped-up covers of Taylor Swift songs. The group is composed of members from other bands like Bite Me Bambi, Bar Stool Preachers, and Andy B & The World
This show will be loads of fun!

M4F Open Mic and Band Jam
The last Thursday of every month M4F and the Winchester Gate team up to bring you a huge two room acoustic open mic and band jam!
Everybody is welcome to sign up for a slot or join in with a band jam!
We also provide a guest headline band, and this month it’s Salisbury’s rural scamps – The Acrustic Badger Band, who will be on stage at 10pm!

Your Heterosexual Violence
Your Heterosexual Violence, formed in Woolwich in 1982, will be gracing The Winchester Gate with their presence, joined by special guests VÄLVĒ on Saturday, November 1.
The band, known for their unique blend of punk, post-punk and political theatre, quickly garnered attention in their early years with their DIY ethos and eclectic sound, which ranged from punk to cosmic jazz.
Their notable history includes sharing the stage with bands such as The Poison Girls, Alternative TV, Five Go Down To The Sea, Bogshed, The Three Johns, and The June Brides.
